Classically styled and shining with polished style, this titanium Invicta Men's Pro Diver stainless steel men's automatic watch is a great match for professional wear as well as your scuba diving adventures. It features water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--suitable for recreational diving--and it's topped by a black-plated unidirectional rotating bezel with elapsed time markings and scalloped edges for a firm grip even with diving gloves. The dark gray case and bracelet band are made from solid titanium, which is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel, but 30 percent stronger. It's also particularly resistant to salt water corrosion, as well as hypo-allergenic--perfect for those with metal allergies.
The black dial is complemented by Tritnite luminous dotted markers and hands (with seconds hand), small minute indexes, and a date window at 3 o'clock with a magnifier. Tritnite is a luminous material with an extended glow exclusively developed by Invicta in Switzerland and added to their timepiece hands and markers. When exposed to regular daylight, it will hold its glow for about 20 hours. Other features include an anti-reflective mineral crystal, and a skeleton see-through case back that enables you to watch the automatic movement at work.
An automatic (or self-winding) watch is fitted with a device (rotor) that automatically winds the spring by using the force of gravity. It needs no battery, but it will stop if you have been physically inactive for an extended period of time--as long as you're moving, the watch will stay powered. Swiss watchmaker Abraham-Louis Perrelet invented the self-winding mechanism in 1770. It worked on the same principle as a modern pedometer, and was designed to wind as the owner walked.
