Usually, wrist watches are round-shaped or rectangular-shaped. Swiss watch maker AleXora doesn’t follow this rule (at least not always). AleXora has launched its new triangle-shaped watches collection at the World Watch and Jewellery Show Baselworld 2009 in Basel, Switzerland.
AleXora is a brand with a long tradition. The watch factory was founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds (a Swiss city) in 1876. The new watches collection summarizes the traditional history of this brand and its future. With this triangle-shaped watches collection, AleXora presents a modernized concept based on the number THREE: this concept is the pillar of its current collection and represents innovation, aesthetics and quality. AleXora is committed with its history and the company took a lot of care in embracing high quality standards for this collection: the stainless steel watches comprise sapphire glass and authentic mother-of-pearl dials. They are water-resistant up to 5 ATM (atmospheres), and the straps, which are made of high grade leather, have folding buckles. On the other hand, the jewelled models have real authentic diamonds.
The number THREE plays a decisive role in several cultures. Its historical origins date from many years in the past. For example, the Egyptians thought the number three was a foundation for life: time was manifested as the past, present and future. Also, some divine triads have always been very important pillars through the history, and we are talking about not only the Christian Trinity, but also other triads of the Hinduism and Buddhism. Definitely, AleXora’s triangle watches symbolize a unifying message of several cultures.
