Reema Sen, who has been waiting for the much-awaited release of her film ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, is said to be in Mumbai nowadays. She is on a ‘forced vacation’, say sources. It is also that though it was rumoured that aced director Maniratnam wanted her to play a role in his upcoming film ‘Raavan’, nothing actually materialized from the director’s side in terms of a formal invitation or talks with the actress.
Reema is said to have instructed her Manager (based in Chennai) not to accept any movie commitment on her behalf with the usual pay packed of Rs.30-35 lakhs. Reema is said to be waiting for a pay-hike, which she things is a certainty once her Selvaraghaven-directed ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ releases. Reema herself insists neither did Maniratnam call her offering her a role in his latest film nor did any refuse the ‘said’ offer to do some ‘patch-work’ for Selvaa’s film.
“I had completed Aayirathil Oruvan more than a couple of months back and wasn’t invited by Selvaa Sir for any patch-work. I just can’t decipher as to where from these rumours spring from. I also would like to clarify that I never got any offer from Mani Sir to do any role in his new film,” says Reema, looking sexier than she did ever appear. Irrespective of the amount offered to her, she appears to be in no mood to pair up opposite second-rung of heroes!
