The global economic meltdown unfortunately has hit almost every walk of life. From the everyday necessities and essentials to high-end luxuries, it has all suddenly become so very out of reach. So much so that the highly desirable diamond has also suffered. At a recent Sotheby auction of some of the most sought after diamonds, the top three most valued rocks failed to entice bidders.
An exclusive 10.48 ct blue diamond unsuccessfully made an attempt to strike a good deal. The same fate was meted out to the popular 71.73 ct Lesotho I diamond and a breathtaking 1.92 ct rectangular-cut ravishing red diamond. These rare and resplendent rocks may not have found proud owners now, but they will for sure head to the eligible custodians soon enough. For who can ever resist being enchanted by the dazzle of diamonds especially such rare and exclusive ones as these.
