As we all know that real diamonds are the hardest. Fake diamond or CZ is not that hard. If you're looking at a ring and can get a loupe or magnifying glass, have a good look at the facets of the stone. Fake diamond or CZs of any age will almost definitely show light scratching and scuffing – but a real diamond is very unlikely to. If you have a diamond jewelry - ring pendant or earring - observe the mounting on the ring. If the setting is good quality and it does not have the initial CZ (cubic zirconium) there is a possibility your diamond could be real.
If you are still in doubt, I recommend you to take your diamond or diamond jewelry to a jeweler. They can perform a more thorough test to insure your precious stone is real.
