Bracelet and armlet.

A bracelet is an article of jewelry which is worn around the wrist, looks stylish and fashionable (india-fashion-style.blogspot.com)as well. Bracelets can be manufactured from leather, cloth, hemp, plastic or metal, and sometimes contain rocks, wood, and/or shells. Bracelets are also used for medical and identification purposes, such as allergy bracelets and hospital patient-identification tags. The origin of the term 'bracelet' is from the Latin 'brachile' meaning 'of the arm', via the Old French 'barcel'.

In Latin America, Azabache Bracelets are worn to protect against the Mal de ojo, or evil eye. The evil eye is believed to result of excessive admiration or envious looks by others. Having newborn babies wear an azabache (a gold bracelet or necklace with a black or red coral charm in the form of a fist), is believed to protect them from the evil eye.

Adjustable Macrame Bead Bracelets

Adjustable macrame bead bracelets are easy to make and fun to wear, and because they can be adjusted for different wrist sizes, they are a great surprise gift for anyone.

Many people aren’t familiar with the word macrame, but once they understand what it is they realize how common it really is. Macrame is a form of basic weaving where knots are used as decorative as well as binding elements instead of interlacing different strands of material. The friendship bracelets common among children and teenagers are a form of macrame, and this weaving technique can be used for many different things, including woven necklaces, baskets, pot holders, shawls, and more.
