Off to the Tribal Area

Well...we've been dancing, singing, and telling stories for two days straight with a group of 25 people attending the Secrets of InterPlay workshop.  There's so much to say about our experience, but unfortunately I need to go back to my room, nurse my headache, and prepare for a full day tomorrow.  Now, Katherine and I have been joined by fellow InterPlayers Cynthia and Kathy (from California), and Gary (from Australia).  Tomorrow, our host Prashant is taking us to an area where tribal people live, to see their tribal dances (and maybe even learn a few).  The tribal people are folks whose ancestors were here prior to the Aryan invasion (6th graders...you'll be learning about the Aryan invasion this week; 7th graders, do you remember from last year?).  Now, they are definitely low class, and low caste, people who are holding on to an ancient culture that is different from either Hinduism or Christianity.  I'll tell you more when we are done with our brief one-day foray.

We'll be away from internet access for a few days, now...and in fact, where we are going there are no hotels.  Prashant has arranged for us to sleep in a hospital!
